Fertilizer & Spreading Services

  • Do I need a soil test before buying fertilizer?

We highly recommend it. A soil test ensures you're applying the right nutrients in the right amounts, saving money and improving results.

  • Can you spread the fertilizer for me?

Yes. We offer professional spreading services using GPS and rate-controlled equipment. We also rent spreaders for self-application when available.

  • Do you offer custom fertilizer blends?

Absolutely. We custom-mix fertilizer based on your soil test results, crop goals, and application method.

  • Can I buy fertilizer in bags or bulk?

Yes. We offer both bagged fertilizer for small applications and bulk blends for large-acre farms or plots.

Soil Testing & Nutrient Recommendations

  • How do I take a soil sample?

Use a clean spade or soil probe to collect 10–15 samples from the target area, 4–6 inches deep. Mix them together in a clean bucket and bring about a pint to our store.

  • How long does it take to get soil test results?

Typically 7–10 business days, depending on lab volume. Once results are back, we’ll help you interpret them and recommend a custom fertilizer plan.

  • What’s included in your nutrient recommendation?

You'll receive a detailed breakdown of NPK needs, lime requirements (if pH is off), and any necessary micronutrients — tailored to your crop or land use.

Soil Testing & Nutrient Recommendations

  • What kind of seed do you carry?

We carry seed for pastures, forage, lawn, wildlife food plots, gardens, and cover crops — including regionally adapted blends and custom mixes.

  • Do you sell wildlife food plot seed?

Yes. We offer a wide selection of seed blends for deer, turkey, dove, and other wildlife, as well as planting guidance and fertilizer support.

  • Can I buy seed in small quantities?

Yes. We sell seed by the pound, in bags, or bulk — ideal for everything from small plots to large fields.

  • When should I plant food plots in Louisiana?

Fall plots are typically planted between September and November, while warm-season plots go in between March and May. Timing may vary based on rainfall and soil conditions.

Lawn & Garden

  • Do you carry weed and feed or lawn fertilizer?

Yes. We stock lawn fertilizers, weed and feed blends, herbicides, and insect control products for all types of turfgrass.

  • Can I use agricultural products on my lawn?

Some products are safe for home use, while others are restricted to licensed applicators. We’ll advise you on what’s appropriate and legal.

  • Do you offer organic or pet-safe options?

Yes. We carry a selection of organic, low-toxicity, and pet-friendly lawn and garden chemicals.

Truck Scale & Bulk Services

  • Is your truck scale certified?

Yes. Our state-certified truck scale provides legal-for-trade weights for fertilizer, lime, hay, and commercial loads.

  • Can I weigh my load if I’m not buying anything?

Yes. We offer scale access for third-party use, with a small service fee. Please call ahead.

  • Can I weigh in, then weigh out after unloading?

Absolutely. We provide in/out tickets to calculate net weight.

We’re an authorized KRONE® dealer, offering hay balers, mowers, tedders, and rakes — built for high-efficiency forage operations.

  • Do you offer setup and service support?

Yes. Our team provides product walkthroughs, adjustment guidance, and ongoing service support.
